Term 4 Week 6\7 FABULOUS FINISH!!!

This Term as a team we read the book Ghost I didn't like it at the start but then it got interesting it is about a boy named Ghost and his dad tried to shot him and his mum. he wanted to play basketball but one day he started to do track I think he got a bit jalis because everyone had cool shoes and he had run down black converse.  so he whent to a shose store and look at same shose the one he like were very expensive so he stool them.on his team there was a girl named Patina and that is how I did why did I do her I that she was kind because she runs for her mum why you aks her mum as no legs so she couldn't ran and look after her daughters so she put them up for adoption but Patina and her sista always get to see ther mum.      

Survival Back pack

This is my Survival Backpack I put what you need to have in a Survival Backpack when you are in the wid and expand why you need it.

Bush Survival.

What is the S.T.O.P acronym for survival?

S is for stop when they realize.
T is to think about the situation.
O is to look around to see their surroundings.
P  is to figure out a plan.

How to find freshwater?

• Don't drink out of creeks and rivers only if you have filtered it.

•  If you don't have a filter you can use coll stones and twigs to filter it.

• You can also drink the rain.

Wher to bold a Shater?

• Build on a falt grand.

•   Build away for water.

• Your shatter needs to protect you for wind and rain.

How to make a fire?

• Have your fire as small as possible so you can use a small amount of gas.

• A magnifying glass hold up to the sun then put a piece of paper under it.
• With some paper and dry wood.

 
What do you put in a basic first aid?

• Plasters of different sizes and shapes.

• Tweezers are very helpful in all situations.

• Waterproof matches.

How to signal for help?

• Using Smoke and Fire.

• Write HELP in rocks or stick in a clear place for helicopters to see from the sky.

• Ring for help.

This is my Chapter Chat for this week 5 the hardest bit was thinking of what to writing the easiest
was making the avatar.

Shelter Building

Our Shelter was successful first it was a flop because nobody listens to other people's ideas but Miss Kenedy said to stop yelling and listen to after people's ideas At the start, we didn't but after we all work together. the hardest was getting the rit level the easiest was poting the tarp over.

    

Term 4 Week 5 Chapter Chat.

This is my  Chapter Chat for this week I did Creation Station the hardest bit was getting the right shape of the jumper the was the easiest was the back rand I really enjoyed making it.  

Shelter Building Carlee.

Where is the best place to build a shelter?

If there is a breeze do it on a hill and the breeze will keep the bugs away it is beta
to do it  in the middle of a group of trees.

What does the shelter need to protect you? 

If you don't have a torch on hand make a fire for light and warmth.
mosquitoes hate the scent of lavender and mosquitoes hate the smell of lemon.

What materials could you use to build a
shelter? 

Rope, tarp, sheets, and Sticks.  

     

What are some pros and cons
of sleeping in a bush shelter?

You get to look at the star and see nature. You get bitin.

Kānuka

Other names for Kānuka

 are white tea tree and  Burgan.

This is how you tell the differing be twin kanuka and manuka. Manka has large flowers and they are separate but Kanuka has small flowers and that are in bundles. Kanuka is only known from the north of the South Island. It is found north of the Buller and Wairau Rivers and is most common near Nelson. Bushman who used Manuka and Kanuka leaves to brew a drink similar to tea.

1\5 it is really easy and simple.

It can be used to carry thing.

2\5 it is simple but I mess up one of the steps.

It can be used as a  stopper knot and it is very strong.

For my cousin named Jake 21 Birthday, we went to a restaurant but I forgot what it was called. For his present we got a custom made clock it was made out of wood. For dinner, I had Chips, Garlic bread, Chicken and a Salad  and for pudding I had ice-cream and cake.
