 This week for chapter chat I did Totter the Turtle with my laundry basket as a shell on a skateboard in my room, sadly I don't have a Turtle but I really want one.

My favourite part was doing everything because I had so much fun.

Chapter Chat

For my Chapter Chat week 7, I did Totter the Tortoise I did a 3D shell it was really hard to get it to look like it was weave, I added two facts about Tortoise, and Totter old shell in a basket and some Lettuce in Totter's mouth.

  Mrs Taaffe committed the crime she stole around 18 chocolate and the HDMI cable on 10/10/2020 at Whetu in the  Milky Way. Mrs Taaffe was having trouble chrome casting so when she came in to drop off schoolwork she had been doing through the school holidays. she took the  Whetu HDMI cable and sore the chocolate and got tempted to take some not think we wouldn't notice.

This is my Grammar cop the story was about Cinderella there wore 20 mistakes and I needed to circle the letters that should have been capitalized.

 The missing pool

Carlee Whiteman is a normal girl with green eye light brown hair she loves to bake and read but she is terrified of spiders. Here is how it all starts. Carlee is sitting on her bed reading The Secret Garden in her PJs. When she looked out of her window, her pool was gone. Before she went to investigate she had to get dressed. She put on her favorite black jeans, white crop top, and black boots and raced out of her room. It was gone, but how? She said she looked over and there were a banana peel and a key card. She looked closer at the card. It was to open the warehouse basement.
Carlee races to her mum, “Mum can you drive me to the warehouse?  I need something for school. She just needs to get there but she can't tell her mum the real reason.
When she arrived there a  shiver was sent down her spine. “To the basement I guess,” said Carlee. BANG it went dark. Wait what happened. I'm tied to a chair whose room is this? A lot of questions were roaming around her head. “The first step to getting out is cutting the ropes” DID THE TV JUST TALK? Is it haunted? But it is right, I need to get off this chair. There are some wire cutters over there. That is better, how do I get out of here? There are some puzzle pieces over there. Let's put them together. That might be my first clue, there is nothing on the puzzle. I'm going to explore some more. There is a black light over there, there might be a secret message on the puzzle. There is and it said 2722,  that must be the code to get out of here. I put the code in and the door opened. Monkey, why is there a monkey here? The monkey started to move. What was moving inside the pool? SPIDERS. Carlee ran back to the car and told her mum the whole story and her mum helped her overcome her fear of spiders and they got their pool back. Where did all the spiders go? No one knows.

Research a little bit about Halloween and create a poster on Google Drawing I really enjoy doing it.

Athletics Reflection

 Yesterday was the school Athletics but I did not make it because I had a doctor's appointment.

The most challenging activity was high jump because I did not have the technique down.

My favorite activity was long jump because I can jump really far.

The Learning powers I use the most was Resilience because I keep on trying.

Cooking Reflection

This week I was in the cooking group.


On the first day, we talked about kitchen safety and who will bring what vegetables.


On the second day, we cut up the vegetables and put them in a big pot.


On the third day, we gotta eat the vegetable soup with a side of bread. I wasn't a big fan but it was ok.


The part I liked the most was cutting up the broccoli.

Carlee Term 3 Whetū Workshops Reflection

During Term 2 and 3 the Whetū students have had the opportunity to be involved in a range of different workshops.

The workshop that I have enjoyed participating in the most has been Drama, Rad Rhythm, Anagram, and Dancing.

The new learning that I have learned is how to learn to have different tones of voice for different parts of a play and to have different beats for different notes. 

What I have enjoyed the most about the workshops is getting to act out a part of a play and seeing if lemon juice and baking powder or vinegar and baking powder worked better to blow up a balloon.

 I am interested in learning more about Drama and different parts and learning how to play different types of people.

Art

This is my art for the last few weeks's the them was POP ART I did four hands on a rainbow background I really like it!!!

  

So What?

This is my So What? should animal be in a zoo I think that they should keep them safe and feed well we had to research this for the last couple weeks we took three zoos to see if animals should be in zoos.

This my Chapter Chap for week 5 I did the evil nachos I did the king nachos and his two bodyguards and his twin's nachos that are very HAPPY

I love what I made and to make it a supernova I made it 3d and add the hat in it that is from the story Wink it is about a boy the has eye cancer and he has to wear a hat to protect his eye from the sun lite he has to wear it inside, outside, school and in his bedroom and when he was getting treatment the song was about evil nachos 

This is my Letter of the Week for week 4 it took longer than usual but I like it my favorite part is the   Happyness cloud.

Cross Country

Cross Country Reflection 2020

This year I participated in the NPS Cross Country held at school on the Ngatea Domain.  I ran in the 10yr age group but I was not here to run for Cross Country.

I am most proud of my running because I can do more laps now.

I think my effort towards our training at school was a supernova because I did not talk that much.

I showed the Learning Power of Resilience by not giving up when I was tired and I did not want to run anymore.

Chapter Chap

This is my FIRST Chapter chap for this term I was so excited our book for this term the book we are reading is wink it is about a boy how has eye cancer. I did Crate we had to make freak meter I like min because I did moveable arrows and I made a stand for this so you can see it better. I did add black heart to this later but I did' int get a photo of that  I really like it.

Whetu Challenge!!!

This is my Whetu Challenge we had to work in our learning constellation I really enjoyed it. I did Lisa from the Simpsons, I really like the outline because I think it looks really realistic. the thing I would change would be the facial expression because I think it looks creepy but nothing can be perfect so I can learn for next time. My favorite group creation would be the Fozzie because of all the detail in their people.

This is my letter of the week I really enjoy doing like all of the week's my favorite part is probably the sloth on the flamingo floaty he looks like he is having a great time on the rainbow river.

The Egg Drop Challenge!!!

For this week's Whetu  Challenge we did the Egg Drop Challenge.

the splice we youse, wore scissors, 3 straws, tap, 2 balloons, string and a paper bag we did not have to use all the splice on your craisin but you can not get anything more.

I work with Taylor, Victora, and me I think we work well together.

Did the egg crack, unfortunately, yes it did so Taylor sock is'int useful no more.

To improve the craisin I think we needed to add more padding to the inside of the sock. 

This is my  Letter of the week the letter for this week was P my favorite part was rhyming words.

This is my extra word of the week  I did C because it is not on the chart for the week's of the term and I loved doing the first one so so so much.

My Term 2 Reflection

The new learning activity that I have enjoyed the most this term is the number of the day.  I like the BEDMAS the most because I am good at taking it away and then putting it back on to make the number we need to.  

Something that has challenged me this term is TT Rock Stars because I am not the best at times tables but as I practice I am slowly getting better. 

The Whetu Challenge I enjoyed the most was the catapult. We had a good structure at the start but one of the popsicle sticks broke and we didn't win the challenge sadly.   

The opt-in workshop I enjoyed the most was the Google slide animations, I did one of a shark sneaking up on a school of fish.  I am partway through it.

An aim I have for my learning is to get better at my spelling and to sit by someone different so I can get more work done.

My ultimate holiday

EGG CARTON CREATION

This week for our Whetu Challenge we created something using egg cartons. I made a boat. The materials I used were blue paint, crat paper, popsicle sticks, and an egg carton, of course. the hardest part was waiting for the paint to dry the easiest part was making the fishing rod. I am happy with the results I brought Lalaloopsy to be the passengers and a princess to be the driver.

I really enjoyed it.
