Tennis Ball Tower Challenge

Today for our Whetu Challenge we worked in a group to build a tower out of newspaper, 2 straws, and sellotape. We needed to make our tower strong enough to hold a tennis ball and be able to stand alone (not leaning on anything or needing support).

Today I worked with Hannah and Chloe.

At first, we had trouble with it standing so we added support like a space rocket.

The easiest thing was probably putting on the straws to hold the ball.

Our tower looked like a space rocket.

I really enjoy doing this challenge.

This is my blog challenge for this week you had to write about a pet I wrote about my dog I really enjoy doing it.

I got a new book yesterday and it is called Terrible two and I predict that there are two kids fighting who is the most terrible and they compete and prank the teacher and the student.

For math mystery this week I work with Hannah and our answer was Captin Steve

Whetu Catapult Challenge

The things that I used to make my catapult were: 5 small sticks, 1 big stick, 1 spoon, and 5 rubber bands.

To make my catapult I worked with Taylor Carmen and Me of course. Taylor did the plan Carmen told Taylor what part we needed and I built it.

The most challenging part was figuring out where each stick went because we haven't made one before.

Our best results were the fare race because we made it to go fare not to go up.

Overall I think that it was a good structure but we must off-put too much presser because it snaped.
